Lisa was known for her very matter-of-fact attitude and love for cooking. She graduated from Ashe Central High School in 1984. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in 2007 from Gardner Webb University. Lisa loved the beach and loved traveling. Throughout her life, she was known as a hard worker, very sincere about the care and attention she gave to the ones she worked with and for. She showered all her nieces and nephews with love and care. Lisa made each one of them feel special. Lisa never turned away her nieces and nephews when they would come to visit sometimes every day after school. She would open her door, and welcome each visit. She was easy to talk to and had a way of just listening, not giving advice, but asking questions to help you make the best decision. We will all fondly miss her infectious laughter and the way she lit up the room with her beautiful smile. Her heart was her daughter Rachelle. Rachelle brought joy to Lisa’s life, and she would often say, “Raising and loving Rachelle is the one thing I know I did right.” Lisa was a God-fearing woman and made prayer, faith, kindness, and strength her life. Lisa throughout her sickness was strong and tenacious. She did not want others to worry or suffer with her and silently through prayer and faith dealt with her illness with the love and support of those closest to her. Lisa was beautiful on the outside, with stylish hair, wearing fashionable clothing but most of all she was beautiful on the inside, in our hearts, and had the enduring quality of a gentle, peaceful spirit. This type of beauty is very precious in God’s eyes, and Lisa will forever be precious in our eyes. Lisa was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Bryan and her parents Ralph and Eloise Poe. She leaves to cherish in memory, her only daughter Rachelle Bryan (Eric). Her sister Melinda (James). brother Craig (Onnie), Nieces: Jessica (O’Bryant), Autumn, Janeen, Marlene (Todd), Miranda (James), and Calicia, Nephews: Jordan (Jasmine), Craig Jr and Brayden, Lee (Jon), Jamie (Jodi), Jason and Jerome. Great Nieces: Journei, Jersei, Hannah, and Madelyn, Great nephews: O’Bryant Jr, Jordan Jr, Jobin, Fabian, Freddie, Nouri, Grandpups, Duke, and Dexter. “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. You and I were like sisters and always doing crazy things together. I cannot belive that you are gone and I am sad to say that I should have kept in touch and saw you for a brief moment at Uncle`s Bob funeral. I am thankful for the times we had together and laughs and smiles, good and bad times. I send blessings to your beautiful daughter who is just as smart as you where and has a passion for God,and was raised in church as we all where growing up. I pray that the tree will grow and branch off to allow all of us to be together again, tell my mother and brother jeff, and grandma and all the rest, i send lots of love and one day we will reunite. I think that you would have been proud of me as your cousin, as I persuade a education to become a Pastor, and spread the word of Christ to our younger generation. Prayers and love, Cousin "Kemblin) Kem
